DO NOT DEAL WITH TASCA - I bought a car from out of state

DO NOT DEAL WITH TASCA - I bought a car from out of state and had communicated my plans to come in and get the car. They asked for a letter from my bank proving the funds which I provided and then after I had a certified check made for the full amount, Tasca demanded a deposit (that I would get back) to hold the car for the weekend. I flew in and bought the car and asked for my deposit back. (overpayment at this point) They said I would be mailed it back in 5 days. Well that was 3 months ago. I’ve called many time and even though they show they owe me the deposit back they keep giving me the runaround. One week it was “we need a manager to approve” the next was that “no one was at the dealership that can sign a check” then I got the “checks in the mail” line. 3 months !!!! On top of that they gave a 30 day temp tag and I had to hound them for the plates after 45 days. TASCA in Clearwater are just typical USED CAR xxxxxxxx. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!!

The used vehicle experience here is exceptional. Dan greeted me outside the front door and it all went from there. He is the best car salesperson I have ever met. Every facet of his service is 10/10 or 11/10. I say 11/10 because he went above and beyond on more than one occasion--From calling the original dealer to inquire about their PDI process and if the vehicle I purchased had any recalls, to looking into getting me an additional key fob because the vehicle had only come with one. He also helped me get the most for my trade. He's friendly, he hustles; he's honest, candid, and cuts to the chase; but most importantly of all, after the whole deal was done, he is someone I can trust. I made sure to meet with his supervisor, Joe Clagg, to relay how impressed I was with Dan and the whole experience, which is also kudos to Joe and his management skills and style. When it came down to payment, Frank, the sales manager, spoke with me and helped break down all the figures. When there was something I wasn't clear about, he took the time to review it with me until I was satisfied. I signed the final papers with Melivin, which there were a ton, but he got me through them as quickly as humanly possible while explaining everything to my satisfaction. I ended up purchasing some add-ons as they were practical, could be chosen a la carte, worked with my financing, and the total price of each was reasonable. All of this couldn't have been accomplished without the oversight of Jack A. Clagg, the Executive General Manager, who I had the pleasure of speaking with on more than one occasion while I was at the dealer the first day. It was an incredibly busy day and he took the time--multiple times--to assist his team and me with the process. He also spoke to me like a normal human being and not someone beneath him, which speaks volumes for someone in his position. Simply put, Tasca Buick GMC in Clearwater is an exemplar of how the entire used car buying experience should be.

I went to 5 dealerships before purchasing my Sierra 1500. I won't tolerate pushy sales people! I never once felt pressured. No follow up phone calls the very next morning. No sales managers applying pressure to make a deal NOW!!! They answered my questions and allowed me a day to decide which model I wanted. They were very accommodating and acquired the exact color, make & model I wanted. I've always dreaded buying a new car! But his was the most enjoyable new vehicle purchases I've ever made. Other dealerships could learn a thing or two from these guys.

Friendly but unhelpful service.

Friendly but unhelpful service. Quote was provided in link texted to me for complete replacement before considering other options or actually looking into the ongoing problem. I went to the dealership for guidance, direction and insight. I understand the convenience of the technology for aquote from a quick,service standpoint when people are busy but when you recieve nothing but a text with a $3000+ quote and no explanation, insight or concern from the department from lack of inspection, it's negligence. I say this respectfully in hopes of some understanding on their part. When I left, I was told it would be quicker to get an Uber back to work and followed those directions to come back to my floorboard still completely soaked from the rain. The least they could've done is either explain, inspection or vacuum the water out. I truly do not like to complain when people are friendly but I think this should be a concern to GMC. Much of my family worked, retired and supervised at GMC Michigan. I have to say that it's not only sad the changes that have occurred over the decades due to outsourcing and so forth but at least the service could be service, right? The automotive industry was the foundation of building American wealth in more ways than just money. It's sad to see that what we do still have left for our employment is not taken in an appreciative manner with more diligence, care and dignity versus what was experienced. I'm not sure if this helps and I apologize if I come across abrupt but service is an important tool, no matter the age of your vehicle. It's still a GM. I intend to make it last. I'll go elsewhere.

What's worse than a tax collector?

What's worse than a tax collector? A car salesman! I'm sure we've all experienced extreme pressure to buy a car the moment you walk through the dealership door? Tasca Buick in Clearwater, Florida is the antithesis of that experience. On arrival; I was politely greeted by Mark Clagg. A salesman whom from the beginning went above and beyond what one expects! Upon choosing the Buick Envista Avenir; he painstakingly went through the features. My memory is terrible so he reviewed each feature a number of times. He exhibited extreme patience. Mark even programmed the technical features because I lack the technical savvy to do it on my own. During the financing and signing of the contract; i became confused. Joe Clagg (Sales Manager) came to my aid. In my past experiences; the manager usually appears to pressure you into the sell. Joe didn’t do that; he was extremely helpful and walked me through the numbers line by line. I highly recommend Tasca Buick in Clearwater! A large dealership with a mom and pop feel! Trustworthy, professional and customer oriented; far better than the other competition! Highly recommend Tasca Buick(18200 US Highway 19 North in Clearwater, Florida)

I just wanted to write a quick note to say what a great experience I had buying a car from Joe Clagg at TASCA Buick GMC. This purchase was an out of state transaction as I live in Georgia and the car I wanted was at TASCA in Clearwater, Florida. I really must say Joe was awesome and managed the entire process for me including the shipping of the vehicle. And when I received the vehicle it was everything he said it was. They were very accommodating and acquired the exact color, make & model I wanted. I've always dreaded buying a new car! But his was the most enjoyable new vehicle purchases I've ever made. Other dealerships could learn a thing or two from these guys.

Had my neighbor recommend Tasca.

Had my neighbor recommend Tasca. I called and left a message, set up an appointment with Wes and a week later I had my 2024 1500 Sierra AT4 in the color I wanted. Wes Boyln, Frank, Tony & Melvin were helpful throughout the process. Especially want to call out Wes as he was very responsive to my questions throughout the week. Unfortunately, I don’t find many folks responsive in today’s business world, so was very refreshing to have Wes prove there are good folk out there!

I saw a truck I was interested in advertised at Tasca Clearwater. A relative recommended Dean Nebbaki. I met Dean at the dealer and was very comfortable working with him. I am a care taker for my mother and cannot leave her alone long. I wanted the truck, so Dean took it to get Line-X. For me. Then came to my house to deliver the truck and do all the paperwork at my house. And took my trade in. Dean went above and beyond a normal salesperson.
